OVERVIEW
We have about 80 members signed up for 2024. We average 30 to 35 members at meetings during 2023. We have all levels of skill. Some are beginners and some have been at this for several years and are very accomplished. We hold 10 meetings per year, skipping July and January. Meetings are the third Wednesday of the month. (See the MEETINGS INFO in the navigation bar for more details). Membership cost is very reasonable - $20 per year. More information under the MEMBERSHIP link on the navigation bar. Club officers are found under the OFFICERS link on the navigation bar. The club has an extensive library of books, VHS tapes and CD's. See the LIBRARY link on the navigation bar. The news letters for the last several years can be seen under the NEWS LETTERS link on the navigation bar. Membership will get you discounts at the woodworking store where we meet.
A typical meeting starts with club business, review of any trips or shop visits in the works, then "show and tell". "Show and tell" provides an opportunity for members to show items they have created and describe the process, finish, etc. After "show and tell" we have a refreshment break. Following the break is the feature speaker of the night.
Included in the meeting is a 50/50 drawing as a fund raiser for the club.
To encourage participation, we have second drawing for anyone who brought in something for show and tell with a prize of a $25 gift card for the Woodworker's Shop. Anyone who presents is granted two bonus tickets for a total of 3.
We compensate the Woodworker's Shop for the use of their facility by purchasing a $35 gift card from them each time we meet at their shop. The gift card is then given away through a drawing that same evening. Members MUST BE PRESENT to be in this drawing.
From time to time the Woodworkers Shop donates items for the meeting raffles..

The monthly show and tells feature tons of impressive work ranging from bowls to furniture to puzzles to boxes of all sorts. We've seen some beautiful veneer inlays, intarsia, lathe turning, and a variety of entirely hand crafted joints. If you have a presentation you'd like to see, please drop us a line. Otherwise, feel free to come by a meeting and show off your stuff.
